Halo Wars Demo on Xbox Live Marketplace
According to ComputerandVideoGames.com, a Halo Wars Video Demonstration will be available on the Xbox Live Marketplace sometime today. For those of you looking to get a glimpse of the RTS due for release next year, here is your chance!
The video demonstration will consist of gameplay from the recent E3 and Leipzig demos, complete with commentary from the dev team. If you haven’t seen it, the short preview consists of a massive UNSC base and a skirmish with an army of Covenant forces – complete with hulking Scarab walker.
Looks juicy! We’re looking forward to this video! Chances are, it will be on the internetz sometime soon if you can’t get onto the XBL Marketplace.
Exclusive new Halo 3 Screenshots
1UP.com has some brand new Exclusive Hands on Material and Screenshots from Halo 3. You can check out their new screenshots here.
This is the first in a series. We’ll be tracking it for more updates over the coming weeks until Halo 3’s launch!
Halo 3 Campaign Videos from Leipzig Gamecon 2007
Lots of new content from the Leipzig Gamecon 2007 is popping up all around the internets, including footage from in-game, hands on halo 3 campaign and multiplayer.
There are lots of videos to be found now (all shaky cam at this point unfortunately, but we’re hoping for some serious HD footage from Bungie to hopefully appear soon), but definitely some fun stuff to be watching.
In the video above, you can see the new Warthog modified to carry a group of soldiers around, and the use of the Gravity Hammer (possibly the first time anyone has ever seen in in the public). My favorite line?
“Save Ammo… Run’em Over!” – Sarge?
Halo 3 Leaked Images from Epsilon Beta
Sorry Folks, Microsoft has requested that we kindly take down the images. It seems that they are going to be monitoring this issue pretty well, so most other sites will probably follow suit. If you really must see these leaked screenshots (they really, really are not that impressive since they are such low quality), I’d suggest searching for “Halo 3 Epsilon” on Flickr.
As many fans are well aware, the Halo 3 Epsilon Beta launched just a few days ago, and already, leaked screenshots and gameplay videos are already hitting the internetz. Although tragic that users granted the opportunity to play the new Halo 3 before anyone else would breach their NDA, it is without a doubt that Bungie expected this to happen. It’s nearly impossible to keep things concealed when you release a build of the game to a large group of gamers.
There are 18 images available and all nicely packaged for people interested. We’ve hosted the package locally, although we believe the source to be from 360wtf.com.
Download the Leaked Halo 3 Images
There are rumors that the authors of this package will be releasing leaked Halo 3 video footage very soon. The images in this pack are fairly low quality, but they do have some new images of the “Forge” multiplayer feature, new halo weapons and vehicles (like the Elephant), and some other cool stuff.
Halo 3, 600 Players and 3000 Hours Later
As mentioned in a previous blog post, Wired Magazine’s September Cover Issue Featuring Halo 3 has finally hit the internet on Wired.com.
Wired September 2007 Cover Story: Halo 3
The article goes into great detail on how Halo 3 was tested, and ultimately shaped to become the “Perfect Game” with over 600 test players who spent over 3000 hours in a Microsoft lab where state of the art technology was used to monitor their actions and reactions to the game. Also included in the article are tidbits about how the game has been improved from its predecessors, such as Halo which Bungie believes to have been a failure on many levels.
Last but not least, the online article includes several Digital Screenshots, that until now have only been in print format.

Halo 3 Legendary Edition Available for Pre-Order Again at Gamestop!
Fans everywhere were disappointed when Gamestop stopped taking orders for the Legendary edition of Microsoft’s Halo 3. Luckily, today they started taking pre-orders again (thanks for the heads up qj.xbox360.net).
My friend just grabbed a copy today from Gamestop, and I would highly suggest you do too if you want one of these come September 25th. They are limited in quantity, and will sell fast as a valuable collectors item. The Halo 3 Legendary Edition comes with a replica of the Spartan helmet, along with two bonus discs packed full of content. One of the discs will come with exclusive videos (such as a “The Making of Halo 3 documentary”), as well as a calibration tool that will transform your pads setup into the ultimate Home Theatre / Surround System for Halo 3. The other disc will include more exclusive material as well, geared directly towards the Halo fan.
This is a deal you can’t afford to put off any longer!
