Get Free Halo 3 Content & Ringtones!
A few weeks ago, Microsoft launched a website full of brand new Halo 3 Content. For anyone who missed it, you can find all of the Free Halo Downloads here.
The downloads include:
- 3 Halo Ringtones
- 2 Halo 3 Screensavers
- 3 Brand new Halo 3 Wallpapers
- Several Halo related avatars for Windows Live Messenger and Live Spaces
No subscription is required or anything, they are all completely free downloads.
Halo 3 Makes September Wired Magazine Cover Page
According to Major Nelson, Wired Magazine September Issue features a Halo 3 article going into depths on how Bungie is testing the gameplay in their newest project, Halo 3.

Also, if you examine the cover closely, you’ll notice some easter eggs thrown around. Here is what we have found:
- The IP to the “Society of the Ancient” Website used in the Halo 3 ARG (IRIS)
- “343? – undoubtedly a reference to 343 Guilty Spark from Halo 1
- 2552 – The year all of these events take place
- The Phone Number to the “Flood Containment Control”, another element from the Halo 3 Alternate Reality Game
- “117? – Spartan-117 is the main character in the Halo series
- Installation 05 is one of the Halo ring worlds
- Mark VI – the armor the Master Chief Uses

Halo 3 Epsilon Beta Launches
According to Bungie’s most recent Weekly Update, they have sent out a Beta Test Build of Halo 3 (code named “Epsilon”) to many Halo enthusiasts around the world. The Beta includes features from the Beta played earlier this year, along with several new ones. Such features include:
- Forge, the brand new multiplayer map editor included in Halo 3. Forge allows players to edit existing maps in multiplayer mode by adding crates, explosives, respawn points, weapons, etc. Players will also be able to play against each other in a brand new innovative form of online gameplay.
- The 3 Beta Maps revealed earlier this year, plus “Last Resort” and “Sandtrap“.
- A Single Player Mission called “Tsavo Highway“
It’s very possible that someone on your Friends List on Xbox Live has received a copy of the Epsilon Beta (according to Bungie), so if you are lucky, you may be able to talk them into sharing some details with you!
